Lead Adventures Social and Humanitarian programs make a difference in the lives of Ecuadorian children, people with physical disabilities, families with low incomes and others. Volunteers work hand in hand actively supporting the objectives of each program, achieving a better future for all those in need.

ECUADOR MAINLAD

Lead Adventures works with three different organizations that focuses on Street Children in Quito. The placement of a participant in one of these organizations depends on availability, the time of the year and the length of the participants stay. Once the volunteer has arrived, the participant will be part of a comprehensive orientation that will cover important information about the project, the tourist areas around Quito, forms of transportation, safety tips and more. This is a perfect opportunity to volunteer in Ecuador by helping children.

The Medical Project gives you the opportunity to volunteer at an Ecuadorian medical rehab center, in the north of Quito. You will join medical interns and a team of multidisciplinary professionals to provide support as you give medical treatment and exams, assist in a prosthetic and orthopedic laboratory, provide physical, language and occupational therapy and grant psychotherapy and technical aids to patients.

The Daycare center actually grew out of a small kids’ club in the garbage dump of Quito, Ecuador (also known as the Zambiza Dump). The Zambiza location was permanently closed as a dumping site in 2005 because the landfill was too full. The site then became a transfer station. Garbage is now trucked in, dumped in a roofed area, sorted through by the childrens' parents and then reloaded back onto trucks to be taken to a location outside of the city

This center is a non-profit association, dedicated to the rehabilitation of children who have suffered sever brain damage such as: cerebral paralysis, autism, down's syndrome, problems of learning, or others. The Rehabilitation Center sees approximately 30 regular patients per day. The center is open to all people interested in volunteering in Latin America.

The Health Center is there for those in need and sees approximately 200 patients per day. The main responsibility of the health center is providing medical asístanse to the whole community, regardless of individual socioeconomic conditions. This program welcomes people from around the world interested in volunteering in Latin America.
