The Tropical Animal Rescue Center is located along Ecuador's beautiful costal region. The center itself is located inside a shrimp, tilapia, banana and cocoa production farm. This Coastal Wildlife Rescue Center was the first establishment of its kind in Ecuador. Approximately 300 different species of wild animals are rehabilitated and receive professional and volunteer care at the Animal Rescue Center each year. The Andes Lake's Region Animal Centre  for wildlife animal protection is dedicated to providing shelter for rescued animals in the northern region of Ecuador.  They are particularly interested in those rescued from illegal trades. The center regularly hosts seminars for primary and high school students, educating them in environmental issues. These students and volunteers take the lead in instigating green or ecological projects with the aim of decreasing the demand for wild species as house pets

The Amazon Animal Rescue Centre (Private Reserve) performs the function of rescuing animals that are found in appalling conditions,  badly treated by their "owners", without adequate food or water, living in inhumane conditions.  When animals are brought to the center, volunteer work begins by providing them enclosures similar to their natural environment.
